The plants are grown in a medium which will help with the distribution of the nutrient-rich water. The plants then take in their nutrient directly while taking in water. Using only about 10% of water as compared to a soil based farm, therefore helps conserve our natural water resources.
The term hydroponics comes from the greek words hydro meaning water and ponos meaning labor. Simply hydroponics means feeding the plants through nutrients in the water.

The plants are fed dissolved mineral nutrients directly to the roots designed to give optimum and predictable results. Because the nutrients used are derived from mined rock or mineral deposits, the"run-off" is completely natural, therefore no toxins that would pollute the water table are recycled into soil.
By design, we produce a higher and denser yeild within a significantly smaller amount of space than traditional soil farming, therefore the "U-Pick" process is a lot more fun.

What is Hydroponics?
Growing Hydroponically is a much cleaner way to grow fruits and veggies. The plants have fewer pests because they are not grown in soil. The crops have a higher level of vitamin and mineral content and without question they have a delicious taste. Also, some of our products can be enjoyed when the typical markets no longer carry them because they are considered out of season. For instance the typical strawberry season in Florida is pretty much over by late spring/early summer. But, because of our growing enviroment, we will harvest strawberries weeks before and serveral weeks longer than the typical season. And, the flavor never diminishes. Take a trip to the farm and taste the difference.
